o thou unknown, alighty cae

of all y hope and fear!

whose dread presence, ere an hour,

perhaps i t appear!

if i have wander&039;d those paths

of life i ought to shun,

as thg, loudly, y breast,

reonstrates i have done;

thou know&039;st that thou hast ford

with passions wild and strong;

and list&039;ng to their witchg voice

has often led wrong

where huan weakness has e short,

or frailty stept aside,

do thou, all-good—for such thou art—

shades of darkness hide

where with tention i have err&039;d,

no other plea i have,

but, thou art good; and goodness still

delighteth to five
