all devil as i a—a daned wretch,

a hardened, stubborn, unrepentg vil,

still y heart lts at huan wretchedness;

and with scere but unavailg sighs

i view the helpless children of distress:

with tears dignant i behold the oppresr

rejoicg the honest an&039;s destruction,

whose unsubittg heart was all his cri—

ev&039;n you, ye hapless crew! i pity you;

ye, who the seeg good thk s to pity;

ye poor, despised, abandoned vagabonds,

who vice, as ual, has turn&039;d o&039;er to ru

oh! but for friends and terposg heaven,

i had been driven forth like you forlorn,

the ost detested, worthless wretch aong you!

o jured god! thy goodness has endow&039;d

with talents passg ost of y peers,

which i jt proportion have abed—

as far surpassg other on vils

as thou natural parts has given ore
